The wonderful world of Wendy's whimsies

By Wendy Wonderwal - posted Saturday, 15 July 2000

And then I started thinking again, which is a very dangerous thing. After all, I might overexercise and strain my brain! Which is why I visited the de Bono Institute for a spot of preventative maintenance. You can too, just by hitting: www.debono.org.

And as a suitable antidote for all that heavy thinking, Web Mistress Cathie Walker at her Centre for the Easily Amused has created a Short Attention Span Site of the Week.

What was the middle bit again?

Oh yes, just go to: www.amused.com/sass.html - I can personally recommend the fun stuff at www.bunnygrenade.com. What a hoot!

But if you want a site to get young people (and adults too) thinking about the ecological problems faced by the indigenous Quichua people in the Ecuadorian Amazon, you should go immediately to: www.eduweb.com/amazon.html.

They have interactive sections which encourage visitors to work out best-possible crop rotation cycles and juggle coffee, cacao and maize production with three strategies in mind - high income, conservation alone and balancing conservation with agriculture.

See, it really wasn’t THAT skinny!

Until next time, dear reader.
