Graham Young

Graham Young is founder and Chief Editor of On Line Opinion and Executive Director of The National Forum.

He graduated with a BA (Hons. Eng. Lit.) from the University of Queensland in 1979 and has extensive experience in business and politics. Since 1986 work as a property developer has funded his obsession with politics and public policy. Publishing and developing The National Forum and its sites such as On Line Opinion is now his full-time occupation.

On Line Opinion arose out of his perception that politically Australia was becoming a less civil and engaged society and that there was a need for a journal which published a wide range of views and encouraged a questioning approach to social policy and current affairs.

The journal was first published from his laptop in his two-bedroom unit at Coorparoo in April, 1999.
