Kevin Donnelly

Dr Kevin Donnelly is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Catholic University and he recently co-chaired the review of the Australian national curriculum. Kevin is one of Australia’s leading education commentators and author of Why Our Schools are Failing (2004), Dumbing Down: outcomes-based and politically correct (2007) and Australia’s Education Revolution: How Kevin Rudd Won and Lost the Education Wars (2009). Kevin has written over 400 articles in the daily media and professional journals and appears regularly on radio and television, both state and national.

He taught English for 18 years in Victorian secondary schools and has been a member of state and national curriculum bodes. Currently, Kevin is Director of Melbourne-based Education Standards Institute www.edstandards.com.au . ESI is a conservative think-tank committed to an education system based on standards, equity, diversity and choice and the values and institutions that promote liberty, democracy and an open and free society.

Dr Kevin Donnelly is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Catholic University.
