Caryn Cridland

Caryn Cridland is a Psychologist, Lawyer, Mediator, Leadership Consultant and qualified Yoga Teacher. She is the Managing Director of Mindful Mediation, a specialist workplace mediation, facilitation, coaching, and training consultancy that provides services to leading organisations.

Mediation client industries include: Television, Telecommunications, FMCG, Insurance, Banking and Finance, Legal, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Retail, Superannuation, Hospitality, Higher Education, Education, Child Care, Foster Care, Science, Not-For-Profit, Law Enforcement, Medical, Technology, IT, Community Services, Health, Engineering, Taxation, Water, and Transport.

Mindful Mediation helps organisations find durable resolutions to leadership, team, and multi-party conflict. They also facilitate specialist workshops designed to build mediation, conflict management, communication, emotional intelligence and leadership skills. Individual coaching and team assessments are also provided.

Since 2007, Caryn has consulted to leading organisations in Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand in leadership development. Clients include Coca-Cola, Fox, General Mills, Hallmark, Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Bilfinger Berger, Oakton Consulting, Aurora Energy, RMIT University, Illuka, MWH, and the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts.

Caryn lectures in the Law Faculty of the University of Technology, Sydney. She lectures the postgraduate subjects, Mediation Practice, Psychology and Dispute Resolution, and Advanced Mediation. Caryn also provides Mediation Coaching services to Bond University on the Gold Coast. She has also been a guest lecturer at Sydney University and Bond University.

Prior to starting Mindful Mediation in 2006, Caryn worked for the Honourable Justice Virginia Bell in the Supreme Court of New South Wales (now in the High Court of Australia) in 2002-2003. She also worked in the United Kingdom for The Treasury Solicitors' Department and The General Medical Council, between 2003 and 2006.

  • Macquarie University’s Work and Self Development Conference
  • FairWork Summit

Caryn will be speaking at the 2013 Managing Bullying in the Workplace Conference and the EA Network Conference.

Caryn holds three Honours degrees – Bachelor of Psychology (Hons), Bachelor of Law (Hons), both from Macquarie University, Sydney, and Master of Dispute Resolution (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney. She was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence for her fourth degree, Master of Organisational Psychology, also from Macquarie University.
