Peter Shergold

Peter Shergold is the Macquarie Group Foundation Professor at the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) at UNSW.

He returned to UNSW to head CSI after 20 years, during which he scaled the heights of Australian government administration, most recently as Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the nation's most senior public servant (2003-2008).

Peter is actively involved in the non-profit sector and serves on the board of the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and chairs the National Centre for Vocational Education Research.
