Nadyat Gawley

Nadyat el Gawley is a radio producer, community arts worker and educator. She'/s currently undertaking a master of journalism degree and is interested in under-reported stories and how to turn polarised debates around. She is also interested in questions regarding journalistic objectivity and how to tell effective stories about things you care about.

Nadyat's interest in issues like peace, its absence from public debate, and social and environmental justice, started a long time ago in a very multicultural school where the shared experience of being the outsider helped form an understanding of the world . She had several attempts at being a vegetarian in high school, and having successfully mastered it, is particularly concerned about animals, and what we need to say about them.
