Jane Orton

Dr Jane Orton co-ordinates Modern Languages Education in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.

She is a member of the Collaborative Research Initiative into the Education Needs of Asia-Pacific Knowledge Economies; and is a member of the Language and Literacy Education Cluster.

Jane convenes the Intercultural Communication and Languages Education (ICALE) research group.

Jane is Editor of Babel, the peer-reviewed journal of the Australian Federation of Modern Language Teacher Associations.
She also edits an annual supplementary issue of the electronic Journal of Foreign Language Teaching (e-FLT) devoted to the teaching and learning of Asian languages, which is jointly published by the Asian Studies Association of Australia and the Centre for Language Studies at the National University of Singapore.
