Bridge our differences: Australians march for Palestine

Contrary to the protestations of Labor NSW Premier, Chris Minns, who received a letter of thanks from the "Israeli" President in May 2025 for his unwavering support amidst the genocide, our bridge carried us with pride for this cause.

There is no pride in genocide.

At an event last week, investigative journalist Antony Lowenstein shared that Australia has sent parts of F-35 jets to "Israel" in the past month, alone, manufactured here in Sydney. This is done under the leadership of Anthony Albanese and his fellow Ministers, who are not complying with their obligations under international law.

Why haven't they sanctioned 'Israel'? Do these people represent us? I say no.

During an interview with Salaamedia earlier this week, I was asked about what drives people to come out and protest for Palestinians and Palestine. My answer was simple: it is our common humanity. We cannot sit idly by while our fellow humans are being slaughtered and starved at the hands of war criminals.

To our Australian Government, to Albanese, Marles and Wong, stop supporting death and destruction. Stop making Australia complicit in the genocide. Sanction 'Israel' now. Prosecute local war criminals.

Kevin Rudd expelled the 'Israeli' ambassador in 2012 for forging Australian passports to carry out murders on foreign soil. Albanese has done nothing after Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom was murdered by 'Israel'. In fact, he's continued to allow F-35 jet parts, which carry out the very type of attacks that killed our fellow Australian, to be sent to kill more innocent people in Palestine.

This must stop.

Time for elected representatives to do their job; represent us.

End the lies. Cut the ties.
