This is evidenced by the detailed daily reports on cases, testing and tracing. Scott Morrison's is pushing is to open Australia Yet why will Parliament not meet in August. -even virtually? Will it be suspended until there is a vaccine?

Right now six out of eight of Australia's states have zero or very low community transmission. By the time this goes to print this may change.

Experts suggest we could go for the eradication model .

Many might be happier, and the economy better served longer term, with a harder lockdown now rather than stop start , open shut with rising case numbers.

Scott Morrison regects eradication , saying it would be unsustainable. But would it?

Experts are saying that the stop start suppression model may take a greater toll socially and economically.

Professor Brett Sutton, Victoria's Chief Medical Officer sees eradication is an idea that deserves consideration.

From beneath the affable footy fan image, Morrison's go it alone, my way or the highway dark underbelly is revealed.

Experts say that we still have a chance to achieve eradication as New Zealand has done.
