Tania Cleary
Tania Cleary was born and educated in Sydney. She lives and works in Brisbane as an independent curator and author. Awarded an Asialink scholarship in 2003 she spent considerable time working with cultural collections in Thailand and Viet Nam.
She is the Significance Assessor for the National Library of Australia’s Community Heritage grant program and the Queensland Liaison Officer for the UNESCO Memory of the World program - an international initiative established to safeguard culturally significant documentary heritage.
Awarded a doctorate in 2008 her interests include Indigenous and contemporary art and the politics of curatorial and exhibition practice.
