John Freebairn
John Freebairn holds the Ritchie Chair in Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. Prior to his arrival at Melbourne in 1996, he held positions at the ANU, LaTrobe and Monash universities, and with the NSW Department of Agriculture and the Business Council of Australia. John is an applied economist and policy analyst with current interests in taxation reform, labour markets, and environmental economics.
