Debbie Richards

Debbie Richards is an Associate Professor in the Computing Department at Mcquarie University. She is keen to find ways to improve the learning exerience and outcomes for her students using techniques such as collaborative learning and problem based learning. She currently teaches object oriented programming and requirements analysis and systems design and manages the third year project teams. Prior to her Phd at UNSW on the reuse of knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, she gained 15 years industry experience in various ICT positions ranging from operator, data control, programmer, analyst/designer, manager and consultant. During this time she completed a Bachelor of Business(Computing and MIS) and Master of Applied Science(Information Studies).
