Luca Belgiorno-Nettis
Luca Belgiorno-Nettis is Managing Director of Transfield Holdings and Prisma Investment, a private family investment business.
He is the founder of The newDemocracy Foundation,
a not-for-profit organisation focused on political reform. Luca has
worked on democratic innovation and citizens' assemblies for more than
two decades and has advised governments and public institutions in
Australia and internationally on deliberative democracy.
Luca
holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New South
Wales, and a Graduate Diploma in Urban Estate Management from the
University of Technology, Sydney. In 2004 he was made a member of
the Order of Australia (AM) for service to the arts and to the
community. In 2007, he was awarded the Chancellor's Award for Excellence
at the University of Technology and in 2014, he was awarded an Honorary
Doctorate of Letters by Western Sydney University.
