Robert Amin
Professor Robert Amin is the Chair of Woodside Research Foundation Curtin University of Technology.
Robert is a recognised world leader in the field of oil and natural gas processing and has pioneered a novel method for the transportation of natural gas to remote regions in the form of gas hydrate he initiated and developed the LNG Micro-Cell Technology for gas liquification. Robert holds the inaugural Chair of the Woodside Research Foundation and a continuous Chair in Petroleum Engineering at Curtin.
Robert won the National Eureka Engineering Innovation Prize and the Business and Higher Education Round Table (B-HERT) Awards in 2002, for outstanding achievement in collaborative R&D for the LNG Micro-Cell Technology.
Robert has many publications to his credit and has also received the Nordic Minister Research Council Award (1991) and the European Commission for R&D Award (1993).
