Elizabeth Hill
Elizabeth Hill joined the staff of Political Economy after having worked in the financial sector and subsequently undertaking an Honours degree in Political Economy. She is currently researching a PhD on the experience of Indian women working in the informal economy, and the impact that strategies of collective action have on the economic status and security of these workers.
Elizabeth's wider research interests include the informal economy in advanced economies and informal employment - particularly homebased labour; organising informal labour; the relationship between human agency and socio-economic developmentl; and family/tax policy in Australia.
Elizabeth is a consultative group member of Asian Women at Work, a Sydney community-based worker organisation, and a member of the Australian Council for International Development's (ACFID) Code of Conduct Committee.
