July 2003 - Violence against kidsThe spectre of dirty old men hanging around schools gets plenty of attention in discussions of child protection, yet the statistics show this represents a minority of child-abuse cases. At the same time, parents are sometimes unwilling to discipline their children for fear of being reported as abusers.
